CAUTION: CNC Motors – Upland, CA

LaFerrari owenr probably got LaFucked by these CNC Motors clowns.

Getting a new car is an incredibly exhilarating experience, especially for gearheads and those with an interest in exotic or luxury cars. However, the process of getting a new car can be tedious, time-consuming, and overwhelming. This is why average people and car experts alike depend on the knowledge and experience of car dealerships to help them find their perfect ride and to optimize their buying and/or selling experience.

Unfortunately for several reviewers on sites including Yelp, Google, and the Better Business Bureau, their reported experiences at CNC Motors in Upland, California were far from convenient or professional. According to many of the reviewers, CNC Motors turned their car buying or selling process into a disappointing and costly affair. Several reviews mention checks that were not able to be cashed, not receiving car titles for months on end, and being lied to by the staff at the dealership.

Most of the complaints on these various platforms seem to come from users who were detailing their experience of selling their cars on consignment. Selling a car on consignment is a way for people to use a dealership to sell their cars in order to avoid the hassle of organizing meetings with potential buyers. It is also usually in the sellers interest to do this because they often get more value than they would from simply trading their vehicle in to a dealership for the new vehicle they want.

In an ideal situation, the dealership should pay you the previously agreed-upon price for your car when the vehicle is sold. The dealership then gets to keep any money over the price that you agreed upon. This seems like a good idea in which everybody wins, but it would seem that many CNC Motors customers did not come out of their deals feeling like they won at all. In fact, many reviews mention losing money and time to this dealership.

According to the above Google review by Tony G25Ventures, Tony co-signed a car and was never paid for it. After not receiving payment, Tony reportedly asked Clayton Thom, the owner of CNC Motors, for the car back and was declined. Tony goes on to accuse the dealership of holding his vehicle without his permission and therefore stealing the vehicle. Clerical issues happen from time to time in many businesses but, according to Tony, there is a whole group of people that have been somehow wronged by CNC Motors.

According to this google review, this customer also had an issue receiving payment. At the time of their review, Blues Tang reported that they still owed money on a loan that they received for a vehicle that he traded in to CNC Motors. The reviewer was reportedly told that the dealership would pay off the loan within a week, but instead 2 months went by without the loan being paid off. According to Blues Tang, they received a check from CNC Motors that was returned for insufficient funds. The situation described is totally unprofessional and should not be expected from a reputable dealership.

Some of these reviews have been removed by the various platforms they were on for unclear reasons. That being said, there are still several reviews that detail disappointing customer experiences. Before you decide to make a major financial decision of any kind with any business, you should do your own investigation into whether or not you believe they are trustworthy.
